Label: Join Our Club
17 November, 2011 | Digital | JOC006
Style: Techno / Minimal / Tech House
Total Tracks: 06
01. Con Limon (Original Mix)
02. Con Limon (James Silk's Nuffin But Groove Remix)
03. Con Limon (Cosmonaut Remix)
04. Con Limon (William Welt Remix)
05. Element (Original Mix)
Random Ballot are Mark McEvoy and Arron Hunter. After years of throwing Coco De Mer parties in their native Liverpool, they have come together in the studio and turned out two tracks in the Random Ballot guise. Con Limon leads the release with a slab of synth-laden techno. Element is a more stripped down affair with driving bass and shuffling percussion. The E.P. is rounded off with 3 remixes of Con Limon; first up is Cosmonaut, fresh from releases on Bang Gang and Kitsune, taking the original and turning the rave up to 10, squeezing every last drop out of the lead synth! William Welt makes a welcome return to the label and goes all moody on his remix twisting the original into a late night (or should that be early morning) heads down jam. Finally James Silk rounds thing off with groove-laden interpretation.
